Student Responsibilities
After You Receive Your Acceptance Letter
The following tasks may still need to be completed:
1. Determining Cost of Attendance
2. Making sense of financial aid award letters
3. Understanding tuition bills and required deposits
4. Identifying and budgeting for expenses
5. Identifying and budgeting for expenses (i.e. health insurance, textbooks, meals)
6. Registering for and attending orientation
7. Receiving required immunizations
8. Taking placement tests
9. Completing housing forms
10. Registering for classes
11. Arranging transportation
12. Accessing and navigating online portals
- Complete and Sign Transcript Request Form.
- Create a resume.
- Ask teachers for recommendations and give them a 2 week notice and provide them with a deadline and a resume.
- If you need a counselor recommendation, give your counselor 2 week notice and a resume.
- Create a Common App account, if college is part of Common App.
- Submit application, including essay and fee (or fee waiver).
- Request a transcript from your using the Transcript Request Form.
- Request SAT?ACT scores to be sent electronically for each school.
- Complete FAFSA - earliest submission is January 1st.
- Search for transcripts and meet with Mrs. Straughan, our financial aid advise
